Hot Yoga

I’ve been guiding weekly public hot yoga classes since 2015; you can find me at Balanced Hot Yoga (1669 Willamette St). I guide each practice intuitively and with a steady and consistent style. Each practice is different and tailored to the practitioners in the room. All levels of experience are welcome and encouraged. The space often fills up, so register in advance to secure your spot.

Temperature: We aim to keep the studio space between 95 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit, and the actual temperature of each practice fluctuates based on many factors. It’s common to experience a full sweat and you may want to bring extra clothes to change into after practice.

My weekly hot yoga schedule is:

Friday 4:30-5:45pm

Sunday 8:30-9:30am

Sunday 10-11:15am

Sometimes I substitute teach classes at other times. Sign up to be alerted about classes added to my schedule.

What to know for class:

Studio doors open 30 minutes prior to class start time. Please arrive with enough time to get settled on your mat before class starts. If its your first time to the studio, arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign our liability waiver and get an introduction to the space.

Things to bring:

  • Yoga mat

  • Water bottle

  • Yoga towel and/or face towel

We rent yoga mats and yoga towels for $2 apiece. We have blocks and straps available for anyone to use.

Please refrain from the following things while practicing at our studio:

  • Using cell phones in the practice space - notify me if you are on call or otherwise need access to your phone.

  • Talking while in the practice space - Please help us to cultivate a quiet environment which supports and honors the practice of each individual in the room. I encourage you to connect with each other in the lobby and changing rooms.

  • Arriving late or leaving early - please respect the shared container of the practice by starting and ending with the group.

  • Wearing scents like perfume or fabric softener.
